Next up!
Your twenties are a whirlwind—a decade filled with discovery, growth, highs, and lows. As I approach a new chapter, turning 30, I’m excited to announce my new book that I am currently working on, Twenty Something: Navigating Your 20s, which captures 30 lessons I’ve learned along the way. Here’s a preview of what this books means to me and how it could inspire your own journey.
The Decade of Discovery: Your twenties are like an open road—a journey filled with unexpected detours, excitement, and, at times, moments of self-doubt. For me, it was a decade of stepping out of my comfort zone, making mistakes, and learning to stand on my own two feet. With each experience, I felt closer to understanding who I am and who I want to be. Writing Twenty Something: Navigating Your 20s was my way of capturing that rollercoaster ride, and I hope through sharing experiences, I can help others embrace their own journey of discovery.
Why I Wrote This Book: As I look back, I realized how much I craved guidance in those early years of adulthood. I wanted to know that others had felt this same mix of ambition and confusion, that they had questions they couldn’t answer yet, and that they too, learned through trial and error. Writing this book has been a labor of love—a dedication to anyone finding their way through challenges of early adulthood. I want Twenty Something to be the kind of book I would have loved to read: honest, reflective, transparent, and full of reminders that no one has it all figured it out.
A Sneak Peek into the 30 Lessons: In Twenty Something, I’ve distilled thirty of the biggest lessons I’ve learned---insights that came through life’s highs and lows. Here is a glimpse into three of those lessons:
Lesson #28: Trusting the Process- It is easy to feel lost when life doesn’t follow the timeline you’ve created. Learning to trust the journey and trust God, even in uncertainty, has been a powerful reminder that everything unfolds in perfect timing. Almost always never on your time...
Lesson #2: The Art of Letting Go- From friendships, romantic relationships, opportunities, letting go can feel like a loss, but it is often growth in disguise. Learning to release what no longer serves me has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding parts of this decade.
Lesson #25: Boundaries are Essential- Setting boundaries is crucial, not just with others, but also with myself. I learned the importance of protecting my peace, even if it meant making difficult choices.
Looking Ahead: With my thirties on the horizon. I feel more prepared and grounded than ever. This next chapter feels less about seeking and more about building—taking everything I’ve learned and creating a life that feels true to me. Turning 30 is a milestone that I am honored to achieve—simply because I did not think I would be here. Turning 30 is a milestone that I’m choosing to celebrate with gratitude, excitement, and openness to all that lies ahead.
Conclusion: Writing Twenty Something: Navigating Your 20s has been a journey of surrendering, authenticity, God, reflection and gratitude for the experiences that shaped me. It’s a book written with the hope that each lesson will resonate, uplift, and inspire those who are navigating the twists and turns of early adulthood. As I look back, I see the beauty in the process, even in the hard parts, and I’m grateful to be alive and for every step that led me here.
